Be involved
Here are some of the ways that you can get involved in the wellbeing of Christ Care Ministries International
- You could, as an individual, sponsor a child - 12.50 sterling pounds a month
- Through your church, a group could sponsor several children
- As part of your church's mission giving, you could covenant to the work in Migori
- You could organize specific fund-raising events for specific needs
- You could visit our ministry and the children to offer help in practical ways
- You could take a team out to Migori to help in specific projects
- You could encourage those who want to tour Kenya and visit Lake Victoria to come and visit or stay with us during their stay in Kenya
- Becoming a prayer partner - be involved in praying for the needs of the Centre and recruit some other people to be part of the Centre's prayer team.
- Volunteering - the Centre is need of both skilled and unskilled Volunteers.
Some of the areas that need skilled volunteers are:
1. Caring Department
- Nurse
- Administrator
- Accountant
- Social worker
- Support staff
- Lawyer
- Masonry
2. Discipleship Department
- Praise & Worship leader
- Musician/choir master
- Committed staff
- Weekly lecturers (this includes Bible teachers, pastors)
- Support staff
- Soccer coach/Games teacher
Volunteering
3.Community Development Department
- 1 pre-school teacher
- Three primary/elementary school teachers
- Farming/Agricultural experts
- Masonry/Carpenter & tailors
- Any other skilled individual
Those who wish to be involved as Volunteers have to:-
- State/chose the department they are coming to volunteer in
- State their period of commitment
- Send their application letter as early as possible
- Be ready to give any extra information the centre may need from them or any extra information she/he may want the centre to know before she/he comes over.
Give financially towards the running of the Centre
The Centre has URGENT needs such as:
- Food
- Medicine
as priority needs and also stress
- Medical costs and difficulties in getting the sick to hospital hence the need for a Ministry VEHICLE
- Financial support for staff and workers at the center
- Support for our orphans, School of Ministry, Widows Group, & Soccer Fellowship
- Bunk beds and bedding
- Construction of junior academy classrooms
- To train more widows and teenage mothers tailoring skills and later hand them the sewing machines
Othe needs include:
- Prayer Requests and Needs of the Ministry
- Effective Christian outreach to the community
- Child care training for workers
- Teams to visit and work with the ministry in various ways
Send/Encourage outreach teams to work/visit at the Centre
The Centre needs teams to help it reach the community with the word of God, medical supply, health education and in creating HIV/AIDS awareness.
